It's been a while since I wrote about BB Cream, so I figured it was time to write about them again. I am a huge fan of BB Cream, it's honestly changed my skin care life completely ever since I tried it! I have a recent favorite, and I realized I didn't write about it yet! So, let's get to it!
Missha's M Perfect Cover BB Cream
(5 out of 5)
The two main benefits of BB Cream are the light and natural coverage it gives, and the way that it improves your skin while you wear it. The reason why I love this particular one so much is because it really delivers both of those qualities! The Missha brand delivers really good quality products, sometimes they can be a bit pricier than others, but they also last longer and work better in the long run. I had heard good things about this specific type of BB Cream that they sold and wanted to try it out, and I am really glad that I did.
The M Perfect Cover BB Cream has several extracts in it to help sooth and calm irritated skin. The first of these ingredients include Chamomilla, also known as Chamomile, which is commonly used in tea. It has anti-inflammatory properties that work on your skin, and also when ingested to help with stomach issues. It speeds up the bodies healing process and kills mites and bacteria. Next is Rosemary, which most people simply use for cooking. It also has antioxidant, calming and aromatherapy qualities, and helps rejuvenate the skin. As well as Ceramide and Hyalurate, which are compounds used for soothing, healing, and reducing wrinkles. All of these ingredients work together to reduce redness, heal damaged skin, and sooth any irritation. From that alone, you should gather that this is an ideal type of face makeup for sensitive skin.
The packaging for the bottle is done pretty well. It comes in two sizes, depending on how much you want to spend, which is great! I didn't have to money for the larger size, so I bought the 20ml version myself. Even though the one I bought has less product, it has still lasted me a long time, and continues to last. I would gather that you can use the small bottle for about half a year, if you use it in moderation. It's a squeeze bottle and not a pump, with a small tip similar to a glue container. You get just enough out without getting messy, and you don't have to worry about bacteria spreading inside the container. I like the packaging a lot, though sometimes the size and color of it makes me confuse it with my gloss when I search through my makeup bag.
You can buy it in three colors, depending on your tone and also the amount of shine you want it to have. I bought the Light Beige #21 because I have very fair skin and I wanted something with a good amount of sheen, without being overwhelming. You can also buy it in the Very Bright variety, or Natural and Calm. I'm really happy with the color that I have, and it adjusts to my natural tone really well. One thing I will say is that this is not concealer or foundation, it isn't made to completely cover acne. It has such a light and natural finish, so if you want something to drastically change your skin and cover up pimples or scabs, this won't work very well for that. You'll either want to apply concealer first, or look into something with heavier coverage. But, if you're looking for something subtle and neutral that still evens your tone, this is perfect. It works especially well with covering blackheads and whiteheads. It toned them down and faded the look of my pores with one thin layer, and evened out the redness and discoloration of my skin. There's a soft kind of glow to it, and it does have SPF42 for sun protection. I don't have wrinkles just yet, so I can't speak on that front, but my skin does feel a bit firmer after a few uses (but not drastically). The main advantage is that it didn't cause any break outs after or during usage, and it's comfortable enough to wear all day long.
Overall, I highly recommend this BB Cream! It helps your skin in the long run, and makes it look naturally beautiful while you wear it. If you just want something to touch up and brighten your skin a bit, it works wonderfully. Once again, it doesn't conceal large pimples or broken areas of the skin where there may be blood or deep discoloration, but it does cover dark spots and old acne scars. Though BB Cream isn't made for that in general, there are ones that cater more to that kind of coverage need. It has a good amount of SPF for when you're outside all day long, and lasts a while as well. I've switched over to using this one more often that my Etude House Bright Fit Mineral BB Cream because it's more comfortable, and my skin doesn't really need as much coverage right now. I bought mine from Cosmetic Love, and they are currently having a sale on all Missha products! While you can buy this online or in other stores as well, you can buy the 20ml for around $8 Here, or the 50ml for around $15 Here. There's also a promotion (while I'm publishing this) to buy the 50ml, plus the BB Boomer 40ml, and a makeup pouch for about $26 Here! (I'm unsure how much longer the promotion will be though) If you've already tried it out yourself, let me know what you though in the comments, since everyone's skin is different. I hope you're able to try it out, and that you like it as much as I do!
See you next time you jump down the Rabbit hole,
