Product Review: Tonymoly "Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack Sample"

In my recent package from Cosmetic Love I received a ton of free samples! This review is on one of those samples that I got. The name of the product sure is a mouthful, huh? Let's get started!

Tonymoly - Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack (Sample)

(2.5 out of 5)

Free samples are a great thing, whether they work or not doesn't matter because it was free, right? Well, mostly right, since if it does something negative to your skin you are just upset about it, but at least you aren't upset about "wasting money".

I was excited about geting this product, it seemed like a really neat thing and I have been looking for something to put on my face before going to bed!
(Plus, the "Engrish" on this one was a bit hilarious, "with good sleep mechanism technology"! I know what they were trying to say, but it's worded really funny!)

As for the cream inside, it's like a cream-tinted gel. Not too thick or thin, so it spreads easialy. It feels thick and so you only want a thin coat.

I was obviously excited, since I forgot to take a picture before I opened it!

The first night that I used this it seemed pretty effective. My skin looked a bit lighter about an hour after I applied it, and felt softer. But, alas, that was pretty much the only really good thing about this one, for me at least.

The next day, since I slept with it on, I checked out my skin. I didn't see any improvement really, and my skin looked really oily, which is weird and rare for me! At first I was glad that it wasn't dry, but oily skin can cause even more problems.

The sample lasted about 5 nights, I thought that I should try it to see if I have any improvement... Well, my skin is oily and there really wasn't much change at all. I hate oily skin, it means that I break out. So my skin developed a few more bumps, my nose got oily, and I really didn't much out of the product.

As for helping me sleep, not really. It may or may not be from the product, but the first night that I used this I was tossing and turning a lot. Also, make sure to keep it far away from your eyes! Even the "fumes", for lack of a better word, will burn your eyes if it's too close (for me at least, I have very sensitive eyes) so be careful with the application.

Now, I think there is a reason for that though. This is a product meant for wrinkle care mainly, and since I am not that old, I don't have any wrinkle to worry about! Since I have "firm skin" and not wrinkles, this won't do too much for me... I think that if you were older it may work, but I don't recommend this for younger people.

It lasts a long time, and seemed to be a little effective, but I will not buy it again. You can try it yourself and see, but if you are younger you should steer clear from it, especially if you already have oily skin.

The sample was free, and to buy the larger bottle is pretty inexpensive, about $17, especially since the small sample lasted so long. You can check it out Here if you want to look into it yourself.

Now, Tonymoly is one of my favorite brands, so I was surprised that I did not like this product. I will still be buying products from them because they tend to have good quality items. The products from that company seem to be split up into the older women and younger women categories, so you mainly need to watch which kind you are buying. (Products for older women are not meant for younger women, so you should be careful about it.)

Overall, I did not like this and would not buy a bottle of it. It goes a long way and seemed to help a little, and maybe with future use it would get better, but my skin got too oily and couldn't take it anymore than the amount in the sample. I don't recommend buying it, unless you have dry and wrinkly skin, but if you get a sample in the order try it for one night and see how it goes.

Well, I'm off to wash my face a lot from oily skin!

See you next time you jump down the Rabbit hole,
